University announces new initiative to bring the Kelce College of Business to downtown Pittsburg

Pittsburg State University is launching a bold new initiative in downtown Pittsburg: Gorilla Rising, which will expand PSU's educational footprint in the Block22 neighborhood—strengthening the local business district and providing students with new and unique learning experiences.

Space at Block22 rebrands as The Co-Work Café

A space in The Foundry — part of Pittsburg State’s Block22 development at Fourth and Broadway — has been rebranded as a space called The Co-Work Café and is giving those without public-facing offices of their own a place to work and meet with clients.

PSU music educator inducted into Hall of Fame

Craig Fuchs, longtime music educator, former music department chair, and former director of the Honors College at Pittsburg State University, has been chosen for induction into the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023.

Pitt State graphics student wins logo design contest

Pittsburg State University graphic communications major Peyton Simpson has won a “once in a century” award for a logo he created for the 100th anniversary of Labette Community College in Parsons.

Writing festival to bring Kansas poets laureate, singer-songwriter to PIttsburg State

High school students, the public, and university students will have the opportunity to learn from the masters at WritersFest, a literary festival planned by Pittsburg State University’s Creative Writing Program in March, with workshops and readings by noted authors.
